""STEPHEN HOPKINS was born probably in Hampshire, England, say 1578; the possibility that he was a son of John Hopkins of the city of Winchester merits further investigation. He died in Plymouth, now Massachusetts, between 6 June 1644 , when he executed his will, and 17 July 1644, when the inventory of his estate was taken (see below). He married first, by 13 May 1604 (baptism of a child), MARY ---, who was buried in Hursley, Hampshire, on 9 May 1613. He married secondly, at St Mary Matfellon,Whitechapel, Middlesex, on 19 February 1617/8, ELIZABETH FISHER, who died in Plymouth in the early 1640s"." This article presents the baptismal records of the first three children and the burial record of Mary Hopkins.
