Cyril Vernon Arteberry was born on 30 Jan 1921 at Madison Township, Richland County, Illinois.1 He was the son of Fred Palmer Arteberry and Hazel Pitts.1 Cyril Vernon Arteberry died on 1 Mar 1945 at Germany at age 24.1
Cyril was killed in action in Germany in World War II and was buried in a military cemetery in Belgium. He was in the Ninth Armored Division, which was the division that sucessfully made the bridgehead across the Rhine at Remagan. After receiving training at Camp Hood, Texas, he had been sent overseas on New Years Day.2

He was a member of the Elbow United Methodist Church and Sunday school teacher there for many years. He was a former member of the Parkersburg Ruritan Club.

John Edgar Atteberry was born March 4, 1873 in Richland Co., Illinois, the seventh of eleven children of Isaac Sylvester Atteberry and Margaret E. Graham.
He married Evalina Bates on February 22,1893 and had three children: Lillie Mae (m. Fred Brennan), William Edgar(m. Gertrude Belle McCleary and Ruby Edith Gray)and Franklin Raymond.
Evalina died in 1901, and then he married Dora Alice Bowers on February 11, 1902. They had one son, Sherman Everett. She died in 1906.
He married Sally Ann Johnson on December 14, 1910 and then Sarah Hulda Barnhart in 1920. He died August 1, 1925.
