Looking for information about the family of my husband's grandmother -- Agnese Aprile, born August 06, 1877 in Naples, Italy, died August 28, 1953 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of Rafael Aprile and Genoveffa Lasso. I have no information on them, and would like more.
Agnese is said to have sung at La Scala before emigrating to the US with her sisters (including Rosalia and Emilia) and brother C.P. (known as "Chuck" when living in Florida in the 1950s).
In 1902, Agnese Aprile married Franklin Marcellus Olds, a New York lawyer whom she met when she was teaching Italian. She was his second wife (the first one, Cassie Walker, died in 1897, and her daughter Janey died at age 5 in 1884).
