Samuel Marshfield was born say 1625-28.1 He was the son of Thomas Marshfield.1 Samuel Marshfield died on 8 May 1692 at Springfield, Massachusetts.1

Sarah Marshfield was baptized on 25 Aug 1633 at St. Mary Arches, Devon county, England.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Marshfield.1 Sarah Marshfield married (1) Thomas Miller on 12 Oct 1649 at Springfield, Massachusetts.1 Sarah Marshfield died on 9 Mar 1709 at Springfield, Massachusetts, at age 75.1

"Thomas1 Marshfield, born say 1600-5, was living in 1633, at Exeter co. Devon, England, He first surfaced in New England in 1635 at Dorchester, Mass., but by 1637, he had removed to Windsor, Conn. He was living in 1642, when he sold part of his land grant at Windsor. Late that year, he had "wthdrawen," and his remaining estate was taken by the Court for payment of his debts. In 1649, his widow (name unknown) was living at Springfield, Mass."1

George Martin was born on 16 Nov 1753 at Windham, Connecticut.2 He married Sarah Simmons, daughter of Abel Simmons and Hannah Reed, on 7 May 1778 at Windham, Connecticut.1 George Martin was buried at South Cemetery, Hampton, Windham County, Connecticut.3

George was a farmer who lived at Parrish Hill about four miles from each of the villages of Windham, Scotland and Chaplin [Windham county, Connecticut]. He died 20 or 21 Oct. 1830 at his home and is buried just south of Hampton, Connecticut. After his death, his son Zalmon Martin came from Solon, New York, and took his widowed mother back with him to Solon where she died "on December 10, 1841, according to the best information to be obtained, although one report fixes the date as 1835."4

Minnie Mae Martin was born on 27 May 1887.2 She was the daughter of William W. Martin and Alice L. Ridgely.2 Minnie Mae Martin married Clarence Everett Barter in May 1917 at Haiku, Maui, Territory of Hawaii.3 Minnie Mae Martin died on 5 Nov 1967 at age 80.3,4
She had been educated in Richland County, Illinois and Eastern Illinois University and then moved to Richland County, Montana where she homesteaded and taught school. Having the urge to travel, she stayed on her tract of land for the required length of tiime and then headed west, finally landing in Hawaii. She first met her future husband when he rescued her from the ocean surf after she fell from a horse.3

Evelyn Pauline Mason was born on 23 Sep 1924.1 She was the daughter of Claude Mason and Mary Ruth Long.1 Evelyn Pauline Mason died on 18 Jun 2003 at Olney, Richland County, Illinois, at age 78.2 She was buried on 23 Jun 2003 at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens, Olney, Richland County, Illinois.2

"Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at Summrs-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Minister Lee Boldt officiating.

George Mason was "born in Yarmouth, Cumberland County, Maine, May 20, 1841, and there resided and received his education, until June, 1861, when he shipped before the mast and followed a sea-faring life until April 28, 1868, He then settled in Marin county and engaged in the dairying business until 1872, when he came to San Rafael, and in 1874 entered the employ of the North Pacific Coast Railroad Co., where he continued until elected Sheriff of Marin county at the general election of September, 1879. Mr. Mason married July 17, 1877, Katie Olds."3
