Southworth and resided in Portland, Oregon, for many years. Is believed to have died but the date of death is not known. There were no children."5

     The text of their marriage record has been posted by Joyce M. Tice in a paper titled "Sullivan-Rutland Genealogy Project" from information sent to her by Karl A. Streif.
"I hereby certify that on the twenty second day of July A. D. 1837 by virtue of license of Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of the County of Branch, Israel Mudge and Mary M. Olds were legally joined in marriage by me, a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County. Given under my hand this 18th day of Oct 1837. Martin Olds, J. P."7
     This marriage is also indexed at familysearch.org where it appears under two dates, 2 July 1837 and 22 July 1837, the former of which shows the bride's name as Mary M. Alces.8
