Littlejohn of North Adams, if living, the sum of five hundred dollars. Then he gave all the rest of his estate, real or personal, to his wife and her heirs. The executers were George Walter Olds and Laban J. Clark.8

Benjamin Strong Olds was born on 24 Mar 1809 at Marlboro, Vermont.2,3 He was the son of Joseph Olds and Sally Whitney.1 Benjamin Strong Olds married Theresa Louise Herron on 7 Apr 1831.4 Benjamin Strong Olds died on 12 Nov 1862 at Muscatine, Iowa, at age 53.4 He was buried at Ft. Steilacoom Cemetery, Lakewood, Pierce County, Washington.5
His obituary states: "DIED. -- B. S. Olds, Acting Asst. Surgeon, U. S. A., at Fort Steilacoom, died last Saturday evening, at 7 o'clock. His remains were interred on Monday last, in the cemetery on the Military Reserve, by the Masonic fraternity of Steilacoom. Dr. Olds was born in Vermont of the 17th of March, 1809, but emigrated at an early age to Ohio, where some members of his family still live." [image from Puget Sound Herald, 27 November 1862]6
