Michael Fishel married Mary J. Hoover, daughter of Martin Hoover and Maria Eshleman.1 Michael Fishel died on 1 Feb 1857 at Iowa.2
The 1850 census of Monroe Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, shows the family of Michael (age 28) and Mary (age 30) Fishel, with children Jacob (11), Martin (9), and Rudolph (5). Michael Fishel, died in 1857, age 41, and Mary Fishel, d. 1895, age 79, are listed together in the records of the Brethren Church in Iowa. A note there says she "afterwards married Mr. Troy."3

He also served several terms as an Edwards County Commissioner. He had worked religiously on the upkeep of the Moravian cemetery. He had spent his early years threshing and working in the family sawmill as well as farming with the family with family. Retired, he had enjoyed the past several years woodworking and making hand-crafted items for family members and friends.

"He specialized in opthalmology and practiced at the Weber Medical Clinic from 1938 until 1948 when he went to Billings where he has been connected with a clinic there.
"He was married to the former Mary A. Fritchey, R. N. of Claremont. They are the parents of three sons, Joe Henry, Richard Nolen and David Alden. There is also a step daughter, and a stepson living at Great Falls, Montana.
"Two sisters also survive.
"Funeral and burial services were held at Billings today."3

"Dr. H. Noland Fisher, 73, of Billings, Montana, formerly of Olney, passed away Saturday morning at Billings, according to word received here by relatives.
"Dr. Fisher was a native of near Claremont, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fisher. He was a 1917 graduate of the Olney Township High School and received his medical training at Washington University and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
"He specialized in opthalmology and practiced at the Weber Medical Clinic from 1938 until 1948 when he went to Billings where he has been connected with a clinic there.
"He was married to the former Mary A. Fritchey, R. N. of Claremont. They are the parents of three sons, Joe Henry, Richard Nolen and David Alden. There is also a step daughter, and a stepson living at Great Falls, Montana.
"Two sisters also survive.
"Funeral and burial services were held at Billings today."3

"Mrs. Mary Jane Olds, 83, Dies Friday, June 19, At the Home of a Son
"From Alba Correspondence:
"The death of Mrs. Mary Jane Olds, who was 83 years old May 13, widow of Edson M. Olds, pioneer farmer of Star township, occurred June 19, 1936, at the home of her son, Wesley Olds, in East Star after a long illness.
"Deceased was a former resident of Alba, where many hearts were saddened to hear of her passing. Surviving are the sons Wesley and Ferris Olds, Alba; daughter, Mrs. Alma Strickland, Alba; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
"Funeral services were held at the late home Sunday, June 19, and were conducted by Rev. E. M. Love. Burial was in the Alba cemetery beside other family members."
[June 19, 1936, was a Friday so the reference to the funeral on Sunday, June 19, is incorrect.]
