She was quite active in the Goodwill Rebekah Lodge No. 201, and in 1955 was Illinois President of Association of Ladies Auxiliary Patriarchs Militant.
"She is survived by her husband, Homer E., two daughters, Mrs. Helen M. Reed of Olney, and Mrs. Esther F. Hickel of Olney, six grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Guy Rash of Lincoln, Illinois, Marion Rash of California, Mrs. Myrtle Koertge of Olney RR, Mrs. Gladys Byrne of Olney, Mrs. Hazel Newberry of Alton, Mrs. Mary Heindselman of Olney, Mrs. Martha Provines of Calhoun, and Mrs. Mabel Ridgely of Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl Rash in December 1960.
"Services for Mrs. Ridgely will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Schaub Funeral Home with the Rev. E. C. Zetsche officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Parkersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home any time after noon today."5

F. M. Rash was born on 17 Apr 1846 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 He died on 20 Mar 1921 at age 74.1
His obituary states:
"F. M. Rash was born in Pulaski County, Ky., on April 17, 1846, and departed this life on March 20, 1921, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, 3 days. In 1868 he was married to Mary Frances Debord with whom, about the year1870, he moved to Parkersburg, Ill., where he had since made his home. To this union were born six children, two boys and four girls. His first wife havind died September 12, 1896, and being brought face to face with the need of a companion, Mr. Rash was again married on June 28, 1898, to Mrs. Johanna Rabe, whom he leaves to mourn her loss. The physical body of the deceased was probaboy weakened by the hardships incident to two and one-half years of service in the Civil War. In early manhood our brother accepted Christ as a personal Savior and united with the Baptist Church, but after moving to Parkersburg he united with the Christian church of which he was a member at death. Fraternally he was a Mason, having become a member of Parkersburg A. F. & A. M. January 12, 1889. Departing, Bro. Rash leaves to mourn their loss the companion; five children, James and Morris of Parkersburg; Mrs. Ophelia Hedrick of West Salem; Mrs. Ida Phillips of Sumner; Mrs. Stella Sottong of Indianapolis, Ind; eighteen grandchildren, a number of other relatives nad a host of friends."2

Rash leaves to mourn their loss the companion; five children, James and Morris of Parkersburg; Mrs. Ophelia Hedrick of West Salem; Mrs. Ida Phillips of Sumner; Mrs. Stella Sottong of Indianapolis, Ind; eighteen grandchildren, a number of other relatives nad a host of friends."2

Guy Vernon Rash was born on 26 Sep 1896 at Richland County, Illinois.3 He was the son of James Milton Rash and Mae Belle Albin.1 Guy Vernon Rash died on 19 Apr 1966 at age 69.2
His obituary states:
"Guy V. Rash, 69, of Lincoln, formerly of Richland County, died at the Lincoln Hospital Tuesday.
"Funeral services will be held at the Fricke Memorial Home in Lincoln Thursday at 2 p.m. with burial in the Union Cemetery.
"He is survived by a step-daughter Mary Lou Morrow and son-in-law Jim, two grandsons and one granddaughter; six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Koertge, Mrs. Gladys Bryne and Mrs. Mary Heindselman, all of Olney; Mrs. Mabel Ridgely of Parkersburg, Mrs. Martha Provines of Calhoun, and Mrs. Hazel Newberry of Alton, and one brother Marion Rash of San Lorango, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie, his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Rash, one brother and one sister."4
