"The journal of last evening chronicled the sad news that Mrs. Ella Reppert Perry, a former Muscatine girl was dying at her home at Warsaw Kentucky. Shortly after, the news came of her death. She had been ill for several weeks. Typhoid fever was the illness, but other complications set in that hastened the end. Her condition was serious from the very start. Dr. Lyle Reppert, a brother of the deceased who lives here, was summoned to her bedside. He remained away for some little time and finally returned, reporting that while her condition remained serious there were hopes for her recovery. A short time ago he was again summoned and this time she was much worse. She sank rapidly and passed away yesterday afternoon.
"Ella Reppert was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reppert. She was born in Muscatine, Oct 26, 1885. She spent the greater portion of her life in this city, attending the grammar school and later taking a years course in the high school. She did not graduate from that institution, but attended a school in St. Louis. After completing her education, she returned to Muscatine and made her home here until last February, when she went to Warsaw, Kentucky to make her home. She was married to Pryor Perry in March. She spent a month in Muscatine last summer. She was one of the popular young ladies of the city, beloved by all who knew her. Her death is a crushing blow to her husband and her brother, Dr. Lyle Reppert, these being the only surviving relatives."5
