Mrs. Lewis R. Olds
Mrs. Mabel M. Olds, long active in South Euclid civic affairs, died yesterday at her home, 1952 Laurel Hill Drive, South Euclid. Mrs. Olds was born here 67 years ago and was educated in the Cleveland public schools. In 1911 she married Lewis R. Olds, associated with the Symes-Olds Co., photo-engravers. She was a member and past officer of Heights Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, the Sorosis Club, the Fortnightly Music Club and the Belvoir Garden Association. Her husband is president of the garden association.
Survivors include her husband: two sons, Milroy L. and Gerry C; three brothers; one sister and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Brown-Forward funeral home, 17022 Kinsman Road, Shaker Heights, where Eastern Star services will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
Church services will be at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 2747 Fairmount Boulevard, Cleveland Heights. Rev. Lawrence Larson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Acacia
Cemetery.6

"Announcement has been made of the marriage of Mrs. Mary Talbot Olds, widow of the late Frederick L. Olds, architect of James street, Dorrenceton, and Charles Stewart McNab, general auditor of the Wales Adder Machine Co., of Kingston. "LONDON, Aug. 6 -- Some American refugees tell harrowing tales of cruel treatment of men and women and children by soldiers of foreign countries, particularly by Germans.
"A story of misery concerns 15 girls from a school in Brussels. They reached London at 10 o;clock Tuesday morning, hungry, penniless and friendless.
"Forced to leave Brussels on Monday, the girls were 11 hours reaching Ostend. They had no food and sat on the docks Tuesday until 3 p. m. waiting for a steamer to Dover and London. Finding no acommmodations here they wandered through the streets.
"Three of the girls, Carolyn Olds, 17:[sic] Kate Talbot Olds, 15, and Sarah Olds, 11, daughters of Mrs. Stewart McNabb of Wilkesbarre, Pa., in the party had a cousin, Hayden Talbot, in London. They got his address yesterday morning with difficulty. Mrs. McNabb brought the girls here last November and placed them in school. She was followed by Mr. McNabb, was married in London, and returned to the United States.
"A society of Americn women resident in London is taking charge of destitute and stranded American women and children in London. . . ."5

Bailey and Margaret J. Fritschle, on 27 Jan 1910.2 Blanche Beatrice Talley died on 15 Nov 1961 at Cabell County, West Virginia, at age 70.3,4,5 She was buried a 16 Nov 1961 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg, Richland County, Illinois.6
     Her obituary states:
