Born in Linwood, Ont., in 1874, Mr. Paterson came to Detroit in 1900 and was employed by the Pere Marquette and Chesaeake & Ohio Railway companies for 55 years prior to his retirement, four years ago, as a freight traffic manager. His wife, Esealla; two daughters, Mrs. Donald M. McIntyre and Janet, and a son, Rollin, survive."

Johanna Pauley was born on 12 Jun 1875.1,2 She married Egbert Curtis Olds, son of Johnston D. Olds and Almirah "Alice?" Cordelia McLean, in 1904.1,3 Johanna Pauley died on 27 Jan 1971 at age 95.4 She was buried on 29 Jan 1971 at Lindenwood Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.4
"Johanna, the youngest child of Thomas and Mary Pauley, was about four years old when she came to Fort Wayne with her mother. She had little memory of Ireland because Fort Wayne was her home for nearly 90 years. As a young woman, she worked at the Wayne Dry Goods Store on Calhoun Street. She retired her career as a salesclerk when she married Egbert "Bert" Olds in 1904. To accommodate his career, she traveled to St. Louis to marry so that Bert could continue his work on an electrical installation at the World's Fair Grounds. Like all the Olds family, Bert was very active in the community, but he traveled extensively for the construction units of Electric Light Works, Fort Wayne Electric, and General Electric. Bert and Johanna made their home on South Webster Street, and they had two children, Charlotte and Almyra. She had a long successful career as a wife, mother, and grandmother before she died in 1971. Bert and Johanna are resting with his family at Lindenwood Cemetery."5
