Debbie and Alan's children are Alan Michael Miller (B. 5-15-1974) married to Kim Edwards on 10-9-96. Bradley James Miller (B -7-9-79) married Jessica Silvers on 9-22-01.
"Vicky Lynn Poteat Broyles (She will be getting her Poteat only name when she gets her divorce in November 2002). Her children are Christina Michelle Masters (B 8-9-75). Robert Dillon Kinley (B 4-12-82) Joshua Lee Broyles (B 7-10-88).
"Barbara Sue Poteat Thompson (B 10-2-58) married Richard Alan Thompson (B 2-26-53) on 3-10-1979. Her child is Jennifer Leigh Beard Rogers (B 3-3-1974). She is married to Rev. Jon Rogers -- married on 6-6-92. She has two children Jared Cameron Rogers (B 10-14-93) and Jacob Luke Rogers (B 8-7-96)

Her obituary states: "Mrs. Virginia Mae Poteat, age 75, Jonesborough, went home to the arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at her residence after a long illness.
"Mrs. Poteat was a daughter of the late Earl Vestal & Martha Marinda Barnett and had lived in Jonesborough all her life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poteat was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. Poteat.
"She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and former member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
"Mrs. Poteat retired from Baxter Pharmaseal.
"Survivors include four daughters, Deborah Ann Miller, Vicky Lynn Lloyd (Jerry), Barbara Sue Thompson (Richard) and Mary Lou Sluss (Tim); two brothers, Eugene Lee Gray (Shirley) and Ronnie Mitchell “Mickey” Gray (Jill); brother-in-law, Steve Poteat (Melba); grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers, Alan M. Miller, Christy Schultz, Bradley Miller, Bobby Kinley, Leanne Murvin and Josh Broyles; eight great grandchildren; aunt, Edna Wiseman; and several nephews and nieces.
"Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Rogers, Rev. Jon Rogers and Rev. Brian Nulf officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
"Entombment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Washington County Memory Gardens.
"Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
"The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers, Ashley Weaver, Alisha Crabtree, Carrie Reed and Rhonda Bailey. As well as Mountain States Hospice and Dr. Brian Way.3

David C. Green was born on 19 Nov 1846 at a log cabin, on a farm, Clinton County, Ohio.3 He married Henrietta Ridgely, daughter of William Simmons Ridgely and Ann Eliza Crowell, on 9 Jun 1887.1,3
He was the son of John and Rhoda (Carrey) Green. When the Civil War began, he enlisted in Company F, Eighty-eighth Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry on 5 April 1864. He was mustered out on 3 July 1865. From 1868 to 1879, he lived in Hamilton County, Indiana, then moved back to his father's homestead in Clinton county, Ohio. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1879 and worked as a locomotive fireman and then an engineer. In 1902 he began farming on a tract of government land in Woods County ten miles from Alva. In 1909, he retired and moved to the county seat. "On January 30, 1868, Mr. Green was married to Miss Laura B. Hildebrandt, who died in 1879, leaving one child: Ambia Marie, born December 9, 1868, who died in 1884. Mr. Green was again married, June 9, 1887, to Miss Henrietta Ridgely, who was born September 12, 1855 [sic], in Wabash County, Illinois. They have had no children."3
