     Charles Franklin Abell was born on 27 Feb 1896 at Huntingburg, Dubois County, Indiana.3,4,5 He married Ethel May Ridgely, daughter of George William Ridgely and Susan Emma Cotton, on 15 Aug 1936.6,7 Charles Franklin Abell died on 13 Feb 1983 at Mt. Carmel, Wabash County, Illinois, at age 86.8,9,5 He was buried at Harrison Cemetery, Lancaster, Wabash County, Illinois. Charles Franklin Abell was born on February 28, 1896 in Huntingburg, Dubois County, Indiana and died on February 13, 1983 in Mount Carmel, Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Enoch and Sophia (Doersam) Abell. He married Ethel Mae (Ridgely) Hussey on August 13, 1936.

His survivors included his wife; a son, David; a daughter, Charlotte Barnhart; a step-son, Donald Hussey; three step-daughters, Mary Robinson, Wilma Gerrish and Wanda Dycus; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on February 16, 1983 in the Ingram Funeral Home in Allendale, Wabash County, Illinois with interment in the Harrison Cemetery, Lancaster, Wabash County, Illinois.5
     He registered with the World War I Selective Service System on 5 Jun 1917 at Mt. Carmel, Wabash County, Illinois. He described himself as living in Mt. Carmel, age 21, born 28 Feb 1896 in Dubois County, Indiana, and his occupation was farming for himself. He was medium in height, medium in build, with brown eyes and had dark brown hair.10

Olive Cemetery, Richland County, Illinois.1
     His parents died when he was quite young and he was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Spencer.1

     Lorene Malvina Adams was born on 25 May 1927 at Salem, Marion County, Illinois.1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Henry Adams and Mary Caroline Bowers. Lorene Malvina Adams married Donald Wayne Giese, son of Elmer E. Giese and Mary Jones, on 13 Mar 1947 at Piggot, Arkansas.2 Lorene Malvina Adams died on 15 May 1977 at Olney, Richland County, Illinois, at age 49.3 She was buried at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Richland County, Illinois.3
     Her obituary states:
     "Mrs. Lorine M. Giese, 49, Rt. 1, Claremont, died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. at Richland Memorial Hospital.
"Born in Salem May 25, 1927, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Mary Caroline Bowers Adams. She was a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church.
"She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mary Lynn) Sanders, Rt. 5, Olney, and Mrs. Monty (Donna) Bemount, Parkersburg; three grandchildren; and a brother Samuel E. Adams, Sumner.
"Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Sivert Funeral Home with visitation after 6 p.m. today. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery."4
