His obituary states: "June 18, 1953 Carl Frederick Fee, 17, son of Charles Fee of the Pure Oil Company's Travis Camp souteast of Clay City, was killed instantly Wednesday night in front of his house when home-made fireworks, over which he was bending, exploded. The Fee family had lived at the camp abut five years, moving there from Olney, 'Freddie' is survived by his parents, one brother, Charles Jeffrey, and one sister Carol Jane, both living at home. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Ms.[sic] Carl Fee of Olney. Funeral services were held Friday and interment was in Haven Hill Cemetery."3

He received his education in Olney schools and attended the University of Alabama. He was a member of Olney Lodge No. 140, A. F. and A. M., and various other Masonic bodies.
"He was very active in his church, being chairman of Elders, at the time of his death.
"He had been employed by the Pure Oil Company for over 20 years, before going into the auto repair business here. While with the Pure Oil, he lived at the Company's Clay City camp.
"He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Fildes Fee, a son Charles Jeffrey, a teacher at Murphysboro, and a daughter, Miss Carol Jane Fee, student at Indiana State, Terre Haute, 2 grandchildren, and his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Fee of 617 West Elm Street, Olney. A son, Carl Frederick was killed in an explosion June 10, 1953, and his father, Carl passed away Mar. 15, 1956.

Ullmann identified "Mrs. Louisa Bliss" for my notes on Justin Olds.2 She was the daughter of Benjamin and Waitstill (Capen) Felt and had married Reuben Bliss in Milford[Milton?], Norfolk County, Massachusetts, on 24 Nov 1801.3 The Felt genealogy says, sparsely: "Louisa, b. ----; m. in Boston, Nov. 24, 1807, Reuben Bliss, by whom she is said to have had three children. She m. (2d) a Mr. Allen of Robbinston, Me., and died in that town."4 Ullman added: "However, if those three children were the ones born to Reuben and Louisa Bliss in Monson, Hampden County, 1809-1813, Mr. Allen must have been her third husband. ... When Reuben Bliss died, his inventory5 was taken in Palmer on 22 February 1817. On April 1817, his widow Louisa, as administratrix, made oath to the inventory."6

Claude C. Ferguson was born 17 Dec 1863 at near Lafayette, Oregon.1 He married Katie Grace Olds, daughter of James Hiram Olds and Nancy Ann Parker, on 26 Sep 1885.1,3 Claude C. Ferguson died on 15 Jul 1927 at Newberg, Oregon, at age 63.4

"NEWBERG, Or. July 15. -- (Special.) -- Claude C. Ferguson, for many years city marshal of Newberg, died at his home here today. Mr. Ferguson was born on his parents' place in the Chehalem valley near Newberg on December 17, 1863, and was the son of James L. and Pamella Bird Ferguson. During his residence in Newberg Mr. Ferguson was engaged in the livery business, real estate and motion picture business and later served as city marshal, a position which he held until his death. Mr. Ferguson was a member of the board of governors of the chamber of commerce and an officer of the Newberg Berrians. He was a member of the Elks lodge and the Woodmen of the World.
"Besides his widow he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helene Perry[sic] of McMinnville and Miss Mildred Ferguson of Newberg; two brothers, Ray of Portland and Lynn B. of Newberg, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Caldwell of Newburg. Funeral services will be conducted from the home Sunday, July 17, at 2 P. M., and will be under the auspices of the Elks lodge with interment at the Evergreen memorial cemetery near McMinnville."4

David M. Fildes was born in May 1856 at Illinois.3 He married Leah Ann Morgan, daughter of Dennis G. Morgan and Margaret Bowers, on 26 Nov 1884 at Richland County, Illinois.1,4 David M. Fildes died on 26 Feb 1934 at Edwards County, Illinois, at age 77.5 He was buried at Ebenezer Cemetery, near Samsville, Edwards County, Illinois. The inscription is "David M. Fildes, 1856 - 1934."6
