Celestia Sayre Olds was born c 1845.2 She was the daughter of Ariel Young Olds and Sarah G. Hubbard.1 Celestia Sayre Olds married Charles P. Kenyon on 1 Sep 1869 at Vevay, Ingham County, Michigan.1,3 Celestia Sayre Olds died on 1 Aug 18711 and was buried at Eden Cemetery, Ingham County, Michigan.1,4
She does not appear in the 1850 census with Ariel Olds but MIGHT be the SARAH Olds with his cousin(?) Lewis F. Olds.

Charles Olds was born on 9 Aug 1833.1,2 He was the son of George Olds and Mary Ann Kent.1 Charles Olds married Mary Frances Nichols on 28 Dec 1865.3,2 Charles Olds died on 11 Nov 1906 at age 73.1 He was buried at Glenwood Cemetery, Lockport, Niagara County, New York.4

Charles Olds was born on 17 Oct 1778 at Massachusetts.1,2 He married Ruth Thurston 1 Jan 17--.1 Charles Olds died on 14 Jan 1856 at age 773 and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, East Aurora, Erie County, New York.4
This family is included in Edson B. Olds under "Unconnected Lines", pp. 303ff, and in Thurston, which predates Olds and may be his source for this material. Both report Charles' death date as 10 Aug 1826 but this is clearly invalidated by the 1850 census record. The same death date is also given for his son William.1 Charles was a farmer in Aurora, New York.1

Olds married (1) Brunette Williams on 27 Jul 1882 at Albany, Whiteside County, Illinois.4,5 Charles A. Olds married (2) Mary L. Winans on 29 May 1895.6,7 Charles A. Olds died on 14 Jan 1936 at Albany, Whiteside County, Illinois, at age 78.8 He was buried at Oakridge Cemetery, Albany, Whiteside, Illinois.9
"He taught school in Albany, Ill., 1874/5, and in 1876 moved to Wyoming Territory; in 1881/2 was with the Chicago Dry Goods Co., at Omaha, Neb., and in 1883 moved back to Albany, Ill., where he opened up a general store as C. He accepted numerous opportunities to serve Ohio Public Service and Ohio Edison with relocations to Lorain, Elyria, Warren, Alliance, Akron, Marion, and Youngstown, Ohio, during his 47-year career.
"Chuck's service to the community of Alliance included president of the school board, director of the Alliance Y.M.C.A., chairman of the Alliance Red Cross, and Sunday School teacher at the Presbyterian Church of Alliance.
"Chuck and Dorothy relocated to the Florida Keys in 1982 and enjoyed their years together until her passing in 1987. In 1989, Chuck married Rosemary Lipps, enjoying her love and companionship, her lovely home, and beautiful floral gardens. "Charles graduated from Culver Military Academy, in Culver Indiana and went on to serve in the 1st Army, 1st Div. 16th Regiment, Company C during WWII. While serving, he fought in the Battle of the Bulge, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He achieved the rank of Captain, before being honorably discharged from service. Charles went on to earn a law degree from Northwestern University.
Charles was a partner in a law firm for several years in Calumet, Michigan and was an attorney at Pabst Brewery, in Milwaukee, for over 30 years. Throughout his life he was an enthusiast for knowledge and remembered everything he learned. He traveled around the world with his wife and enjoyed golf for more than 60 years.
"He is survived by his son, Charles M. Olds of Texas; daughter, Charlotte A. Steindorf of Texas, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; first cousins, Dan Olds of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and John Olds of Springfield, Illinois .

- [S5593] Iowa Death Records, 1904-1951, online familysearch.org, Charles Emory Olds, a resident of 715 S E 1, DeMoines, Iowa, born 12-5-1854 in "LaMoile", Ill., a decorator and painter, son of unknown Olds and unknown Wright, natives of England [sic], died May 18, 1941 in Broadlawn's General Hospital, Des Moines County, Iowa, where he had been for two days. He was 86 yrs, 5 months and 13 days old and had lived in the community for 22 years. His wife was Bertha Olds, 68. The informant was Alta Lannsdale of 1936 Tichenor and he was buried in Hartford, Iowa. He died of arteriosclerotic heart disease and coronary occlusion.
